Home made face masks are quite popular as they are cost effective and healthy for your skin. Why would you want to put chemical face masks on your face if you can use natural ingredients that you probably have at home and it won’t cost you a small fortune.
Since not everyone has the same skin type, face mask ingredients that are suitable for you may differ from the next person. The first step is to determine what skin type you have (normal, oily acne prone, dry, sensitive or combination).
The face mask recipes below are suitable for all skin types so anyone can try them.
Tips for applying the face mask:
1. Clip your hair back
2. Wash your face with luke warm water before applying mask
3. Apply the face mask with fingertips, to your cheeks, nose, neck and forehead, avoiding applying the mask too close to your eyes. n95 mask
4. When you have the mask on, find somewhere quite to relax, but avoiding lying down or talking.
5. Leave the face mask on for 10 to 15 minutes.
Home-made face mask recipes:
Egg and Almond Mask
Mix 1 beaten egg with 1 teaspoon almond oil, apply evenly all over your face. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
White Sugar and Lemon Juice Scrub Mask
Mix 1 tablespoon white sugar with 1 teaspoon lemon juice, or enough so that you get a sugar paste. Rub into your skin. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse off with luke warm water.
Pumpkin and Egg Mask
Mix ¼ small pumpkin pureed with 1 egg. Apply evenly to the whole face. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinse with cold water.
Cucumber Yogurt Mask
Mix ½ a cucumber with 1 tablespoon yogurt in a blender. Apply evenly to the face. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, and rinse off with cold water.
Banana, Yogurt and Honey Mask
Mix 1 mashed banana with 2 teaspoons yogurt and 1 teaspoon honey. Let your face absorb the mask and when it is dry, wash off with cold water.
